Hardscape or "hardscaping" consists of the inanimate elements of landscaping, especially any masonry work or woodwork. For instance, stone walls, concrete or brick patios, tile paths, wooden decks and wooden arbors would all be considered part of the hardscape. Anything used in landscaping that is not part of the softscape - gardening elements like plants and trees - can be considered a hardscape element, including home accents such as water fountains and, yes, even pink flamingoes!

To get an idea of the vast amount of hardscape options there are for your NJ or PA home, think of a bare patch of grass outside a beautiful home like yours. Now think of everything that could make that bare space a haven for entertainment and comfort. Sleek concrete designs like poolsides and patios, enchanting stone pieces like fireplaces and retaining walls, and outdoor social places like decks and pergolas.
